The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster upholds the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Licensing in the Field of Nuclear Energy Use"

The Bill (Reg. No. 2324) proposes to amend the law currently in force on licensing of activity in the field of nuclear energy utilization; responsibility for contempt of this law, etc.

According to the Bill: licensing activity provides for certification of radioactive materials transportation; licensing of activity of exploiting organization officials´ responsible for realization of organizational and administrative functions connected with nuclear and radiation safety is introduced; obligation for receiving of permits for radioactive materials transportation is established on legislative level, etc.
